02 / Local SEO
Local SEO for Doncaster and South Yorkshire businesses
Someone nearby is looking for the work you do.
Help them understand what you offer, where you work and why your business is worth a closer look. We look after your website and your Google Business Profile so customers in Doncaster and beyond can find you.
Already have a website? We can work on its SEO without you buying a new one from us. We look at the site you have first, then agree the work it needs.
A / The jobs you never hear about
A quiet fortnight isn’t
always bad luck.
Somebody two streets away wants a ceiling skimming, so they type “plastering services doncaster” into their phone. If your business doesn’t come up, you don’t get the call. When you lose a quote, you at least know you lost. This kind of lost business leaves nothing for you to learn from.
It goes the same way whatever you do. Somebody’s after a wedding photographer, a bookkeeper or a café open on Sundays. If your site doesn’t say it their way, you were never in the race.
That’s work that was going ahead anyway, going ahead for somebody else if your business doesn’t have the visibility in the search.

What SEO actually does
When someone searches Google for “plumber in Doncaster”, SEO helps a plumbing business get found. On your site, we make it clear what the business does, where it works and why someone should choose it. That means useful website pages on a site that works properly, and accurate information on Google. The aim is to bring in people who need your services and make it easy for them to get in touch.
B / How we go about it
What people type and what Google shows them
- Keywords
- Keywords are simply the words and phrases people type into Google. We start with your services, the places you work and the questions your customers ask. Keyword research tools help us estimate demand and assess the competition. We use that information to choose searches that could bring you suitable work.
- Search results
- SERP means search engine results page: the page Google shows after a search. It can contain adverts, map listings, websites and guides. We look at those results for relevant searches in your area as they give us clues about what people expect to find. For example, “emergency electrician Doncaster” suggests someone needs help quickly. “How much does a house rewire cost?” suggests someone is working out their budget. The page needs to answer that particular need.
- Some searches need their own page
- Related searches can share one page. We improve existing pages where we can, or create one when a different service or question needs its own answer. That means clear page titles, descriptions and headings, natural wording, the areas you cover, answers to customer questions and real examples of your work. We link related pages together and make the next step, such as asking for a quote, easy to find.
- After it goes live
- We check that Google can read the important pages and that customers can use them on a phone and get in touch. Then we review which searches show your site, which bring visits and what useful enquiries arrive. That helps us decide what to keep and improve.
C / Questions people ask
Before you pay for local SEO
Can you guarantee the top local result?
No. Google considers relevance, distance and how well known a business is, amongst other things. No agency can buy a better organic local position or remove the effect of the searcher’s location. Read Google’s local-ranking explanation.
Can I cover more than one town?
Yes, if you actually work there. We look at what would help a customer in each area, rather than automatically producing a page for every postcode.
What does local SEO cost?
It’s part of our Growth plan, at £249 a month plus £299 setup. Authority, at £399 a month plus £499 setup, covers more services or places. Both include a new website and start with a 12-month agreement. If you want to keep your current site, send us its address and we’ll agree the SEO work and its price separately. See what each plan includes.
